Porch Light San Diego reviews
Great show
The Gorge is a beautiful setting and it's one I do recommend. Especially if you can go to a concert during the summer and see the sun setting while the music is playing. Truly breathtaking. We allowed plenty of time as usual to arrive at the venue. Unfortunately, we missed the first part of the Def Leppard set due to long lines to get into the parking area. Something we've never had issue with before. Luckily we were there for Porch Light since we've seen DL multiple times so we weren't too bummed. The show itself was great. Getting inside the venue was really fast but the place was packed. We did manage to find a place to sit after searching for a bit. I mean, like sardine packed and the amount of sloppy drunks was frustrating. I was initially a bit disappointed with Porch Light because there were times it seems the singer was struggling to hit certain notes but then I heard he was actually sick. Some will complain about the acoustics, but this is an outdoor venue and it was windy. Typical. Honestly, when he was hitting it, he sounded amazing and if that is how he sounds when he is ill, I can't wait to hear him at fully healthy. We've been to the Gorge multiple times and this experience was a bit different. We saw GnR there and it wasn't as bad.
